youth & manpower development

The Youth and Manpower Development program provides informal educational experiences leading to personal growth of youth and their parents with overall emphasis on acquiring new understanding and skills necessary for active, meaningful involvement in community life.

4-H Sprouts, a program for youths 6-8 years of age, is designed to develop a better understanding of the physical, mental, social and emotional development of such youth and the impact of group participation, leadership and self-awareness programs on their development.

The Manpower Development program is divided into two areas of concern: Career Awareness and Job Preparation and Placement.

Career Awareness enables children to experience the various aspects of careers through exposure to the occupations of many people who play an important role in the child's life. Job Preparation and Placement Programs are specifically designed to enhance individual job seeking skills for youths and adults.
