
Far more than "cooking and sewing" the Family and Consumer Sciences Program embraces a broad spectrum of concerns affecting the family and its living environment.
Objectives of the program are to enhance the quality of decision making by individuals and families, and to increase knowledge and skills needed to carry out decisions made. In addition, the program seeks to identify unexpressed needs affecting individual and family well-being, and improve abilities to understand and adapt to social change by exploring solutions which most effectively deal with identified problems and concerns.
